Spotify announced that it has hired Olivia Regnier as its legal director of EU regulatory affairs. Regnier joins Spotify on May 8 after two decades with the IFPI, most recently as director of the trade body’s European Regional Office. During her tenure there, she worked on efforts in copyright legislation, ecommerce, and the YouTube value gap.
“During my 20 years at IFPI, I have witnessed major changes as the industry has moved from the CD era to the digital present,” Regnier said. “I’m looking forward to continuing my career within this continuously developing sector as I pursue this new and exciting opportunity.”
