We learn two broad lessons from the release of Magellan AI’s two new rankers:
- The top spenders in podcast advertising fall almost exclusively in the Sports and Comedy categories.
- The top month-over-month budget increases are in the hundreds of percent, and over three thousand percent in one case.
In the chart below we see that the top 15 podcast advertising budgets in April ranged from three million to six million, as shown below.
In a partner chart (see below), Magellan AI lists “Movers & Shakers, representing podcast advertisers whose March-to-April investment showed the biggest increase. Those increases range from 309% to 3,085% — that’s over three thousand percent.
