Phone service TextNow adds iHM full catalog of content

In a collaboration of two giants, TextNow — the largest ad-supported mobile phone service in the U.S. — will carry iHeartRadio’s full catalog over TextNow’s national 5G network. For users, accessing iHeart’s live radio stations, music playlists, and podcasts will be a completely free-of-charge experience, and without affecting data caps.

TextNow currently has approximately 10 million monthly active users. The TextNow app has been downloaded over 300 million times globally since its launch. The service consistently maintains 8 to 10 million monthly users, and is often recognized as the largest free, ad-supported wireless phone service in the U.S.

The two companies have kept this arrangement easy and transparent for users, who get instant access within the app.

The agreement marks the first major content deal for TextNow, and marks an important expansion beyond text and talk.
