Deezer adds Community platform, blending forums with light social features

Deezer has launched a new platform for its listeners to share their thoughts and opinions with fellow music lovers. Deezer Community is a traditional forum, offering a hub for news and updates about artists, as well as a place to ask questions about using Deezer and crowdsourcing answers to common tech troubles. The Community platform has a social, gamified layer, encouraging listeners to build themselves up as music influencers. People can earn badges for being helpful to other members, having good music taste, and more.

Most of Deezer’s news in the back half of 2017 has centered on building out its content offerings and its partnerships. The new deals include podcast content from audioBoom and integration with Google Home smart speakers.
