Bill Freund, co-founder of Triton Digital, passes away at 56

Entrepreneur and digital audio executive Bill (Billy) Freund has passed away. He was 58. We learn this sad news from Inside Radio, which supplies this note: “In place of flowers, the Freund Family requests that contributions be made in Billy’s memory to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration to support research and awareness efforts.”

Freund wasChief Executive Officer at media and content company Chaz Communications, where he spent three and a half years. Before that he was EVP and Chief Operating Officer (and board advisor) at Oi2 Media.

His most widely recognized entrepreneurial accomplishment was co-founding Triton Digital in 2006, with an investment from Oaktree Capital Management.
