8tracks has announced a new integration with Spotify. In the latest version of the 8tracks iOS app, listeners’ favorited tracks can be automatically saved to a dedicated Spotify playlist. With this “8tracks Discoveries” playlist, people can revisit their finds on-demand. All it takes is connecting your Spotify account in the 8tracks app, or favoriting a new track to receive a prompt to take the same action.
The company said it plans to expand this feature to its web and Android versions in the coming months. It is also building a way to import past favorites to Spotify, as well as a vague mention of “potential deeper integration” in the future. Outside the Spotify deal, 8tracks is also working on an integration with Amazon Alexa.
