Bring it on

We’ve covered it before, so this is a reminder of an intriguing survey report from Edison Research to be released this Thursday September 10: AI vs. Human Audiobook Narration: A Blinded Survey of 1,000 Listeners. Edison VP Megan Lazovick will present the goods, alongside Phil Marshall, Founder and CEO of AI audiobook creation and publishing platform Spoken. Also participating will be Michele Cobb of Forte Business Consulting; she is the former executive director of the Audio Publishers Association. Ready to sign

Following up on our September 4 update on the prospective passage of the AM Radio For Every Vehicle Act (which would mandate its title), we see a report declaring “President Trump is ready to sign” it. That from Radio Ink, citing House Majority Leader Steve Scalise. A House floor vote is now set for September 14. Scalise focused his argument for passage on his experience with Hurricane Katrina, when many people lost household power for three weeks. “You turn your car on, and that’s ho you were able to find out what was going on.” The legislation agenda calls for a House vote propelling the bill into Senate consideration. Beyond that, Scalise is quoted saying that President Trump is “ready to sign this bill.”
