New audio ad service seeks reach + relevance

Audio/video streaming, podcasting and analytics company StreamGuys has started a new audio advertising service called SGcreative. Partnering in this venture is Nueva Network, a media company which specializes in targeting the U.S. Hispanic market. 

Nueva reaches about 600 radio stations across over 100 markets, and by at least one measurement reaches 97% of the U.S. Hispanic population. 

The combination intends to combine national reach with local relevancy, and the two companies will demonstrate their technology at the NAB Show in Las Vegas in April. 

“Radio advertising has always been about connection, and resonating with audiences in a way that reflects their daily lives, language and culture,” said José Villafañe, Founder and CEO of Nueva Network. “For Nueva Network, serving the Latino community means delivering content and advertising that feels authentic, timely and meaningful.”

SGCreative describes its mission to be turning real-time data into audio ads. It can pull updates about weather, traffic, and local news into AI technology which quickly generates sponsored messages. Those messages are dynamically inserted into the audio stream, so that listeners hear ads relevant to their location.
