“Guvera will continue to focus on its ‘programmed globally, tuned locally’ approach, ensuring that we are delivering the most relevant and diverse local and international content, playlists and artists to our users,” CEO Darren Herft said. The company uses an ad-supported business model based on branded channels.
The first quarter of 2015 has been a busy time for Guvera. The company acquired Blinkbox Music from Tesco in January, a purchase that added 2.5 million registered users. It more recently debuted a companion app called Fradio that allows its members to broadcast their best playlists to other listeners.
