Deezer adds Huawei to roster of telecom partners

Deezer has entered into another telecommunications partnership. This time it is working with Huawei, the China-based telecom equipment company. Deezer will be preloaded on all of Huawei’s Honor smartphones in Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North Africa, Russia and Southeast Asia.

“Honor customers will get the best of both worlds – smart technology alongside the best in music and radio,” Gerrit Schumann, Deezer’s chief international officer, said of the deal.

Deezer secured $109 million in new funding last month. It has also been continually building out its web of telecom deals, partnered with mobile carrier Three UK in November.
