The ever-interesting Techsurvey, produced by Jacobs Media and serving as an industry benchmark to understand how listeners interact with radio, has released an insight about why people prefer broadcast radio as their listening choice in the car.
Ease-of-use tops the list, even more influential than “it’s free.” Or the DJs. Or the music. Or the local news.
Jacobs resurfaces these data along with an observation of an extremely large and prominent radio volume knob in the newly released VW Atlas. See Fred Jacobs’ commentary, the data graphic, and an enjoyable reminiscence of “These go to eleven” from Spinal Tap.
