Membership organization The Podcast Academy is hosting a webinar targeted to podcast producers. Called The Podcast Production Leaders Roundtable, the online event promises an open, peer-to-peer networking discussion for sharing info, exchanging ideas, and identifying topics that will matter most in the future. John Perotti (head of production company Rococo Punch with a deep background in radio) will co-host with Dusty Weis, President of Podcamp Media. Free registration is HERE.

Celebrated as “one of the most authentic voices in podcasting,” Laura Mayer is guesting on Podcast Perspectives, the industry-info show produced by The Podglomerate. The episode is titled “The podcast industry is broken,” (Listen HERE) and discusses a hard reality:If you build it, they may not come.” Mayer has held positions at WNYC Radio and was Executive Producer ABC News Podcasts for a three-year stint. Other executive roles saw her working at Panoply Media, Midroll Media, Three Uncanny Four (part of Sony Music Entertainment). She is currently Head of Podcasts at Talkhouse, which is self-described as a first-person media outlet for musicians, actors,and filmmakers, and a “boutique podcast shop.”
