Westwood One to move its podcast network to Megaphone

Westwood One has partnered with podcast technology company Megaphone. The Cumulus Media-owned Westwood will move its podcast network to Megaphone’s platform. With this shift, it will take advantage of Megaphone’s services in hosting, publishing, dynamic ad insertion, campaign management, and analytics. Westwood One will also have the chance to opt into the Megaphone Targeted Marketplace.

“Westwood One Podcast Network is dedicated to distributing, marketing, and monetizing high-quality original content at scale,” said Suzanne Grimes, EVP of marketing at Cumulus and president of Westwood One. “Megaphone’s highly innovative hosting and distributing technology, as well as their sophisticated audience targeting solution, make them the perfect partner.”

“Westwood One is helping to shape the future of podcasting in America,” Megaphone CEO Brendan Monaghan said. “We at Megaphone are honored that our technology will help Westwood One translate the success they’ve had for decades on the radio to the on-demand space. To be able to offer support through our exceptional hosting, distribution, and advertising solutions is thrilling in today’s fast-moving world of podcasting.”
