Vevo debuts social viewing option

Vevo logo July 2016 canvasVevo has unveiled a new feature for watching music videos with multiple people. The tool, dubbed Watch Party, sets up simultaneous viewing across multiple computers. Watch Party can act as a collaborative playlist where participants get to vote on the next video, or one person can become the host and make all the programming choices.

During SXSW, Vevo also announced plans to launch a new iOS app in April. The music video platform has had several redesigns of its mobile service as well as a rebranding over the past few years. Vevo is planning to focus on global expansions and original content this year rather than pushing subscriber numbers.
