UK radio promotion company adds branch for podcast placement

Blueprint Radio, an independent radio promotion company based in the UK, announced a move into podcasting. The business launched a new branch called Blueprint Pods that will work on findings artists placements on podcasts. This division will collaborate with record labels, management companies, brands, producers and curators to offer its clients strategic partnerships with podcasts and to reach the growing podcast audience. Its roster of partners include Audioboom and Relentless Records.

“Podcasts present a huge opportunity for artists and rights holders,” said Chris Slade, a director of Blueprint Pods. “We wanted to be the first company that fully services this fast developing market in the way in which it deserves.”

“We believe that music audiences are now hungrier than ever to know more about the artist behind the music and podcasts are the ideal way to do this as well as a chance for artists to reach new audiences,” Sophie Paluch, the other Blueprint Pods director, said. “Internationally we know podcasts can reach audiences of millions and it helps they are not subject to location restrictions like a lot of other online content. Placing artists within the huge world of American podcasts is an excellent opportunity to introduce talent into the US market.”
