Targetspot to launch all-in-one Podcast Marketplace in December

Digital audio advertising platform Targetspot has announced its upcoming Podcast Marketplace, an all-in-one ad marketplace for connecting podcast producers with advertising revenue sources.

On the buy side, the Podcast marketplace will allow advertisers and agencies to make programmatic purchases of pre-roll and in-stream spots thanks to connections to multiple major demand side platforms (DSPs). They can also opt for direct buys, including tailor-made creative solutions from Targetspot’s teams.

“The main objective of the podcast marketplace is to provide the greatest exposure and easiest monetization solution to all podcast producers looking to capitalize on the interest of advertisers in the rising medium of audio on demand,” said Laurane Delcroix, SVP North America of Targetspot.

This venture will start in December when the new platform will open to Targetspot’s existing premium publishers and partners. That launch effort will represent 100-million monthly podcast downloads. The next phase will open the marketplace to any and all podcast producers, sometime in spring, 2019.

“Targetspot shares our commitment to bringing growth and adding value for podcasters, audiences and advertisers,” said Mattia Verzella, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Voxnest. “With our content management expertise and data analytics capabilities combined with their technology for programmatic trading and yield optimization, Targetspot’s Podcast Marketplace will enable us to deliver on that commitment and the overall promise of podcast advertising, while still offering listeners the enjoyable experiences they’ve come to expect.”
