Spreaker is making a move into international podcast education. The company is hosting the Spreaker Podcast School in Milan, Italy, on March 21-24. The four-day intensive program will cover all the critical points in developing a successful podcast, from idea to production, including training on budgeting, monetization, and conducting interviews. Cristal Duhaime, co-creator of Love Me and Pen Pals, and Jonathan Zenti, host of the podcast Meat, will provide instruction.
Several large players in podcasting have been exploring education and training programs. PRX has created its own Boston-based training site, and its now partnering with Google for an accelerator. American Public Media hosted an intensive aimed at high school students.
