Spotify’s head of Latin music leaves for Warner Music Group

Rocío Guerrero is departing her role as head of Latin music at Spotify. She joined the streaming service in 2011 and played a critical role in building the cultural cache of the platform’s Viva Latino and Baila Reggaeton playlists. Viva Latino grew large enough to turn into a live concert tour. Guerrero will be taking a new position as vice president of A&R and cross-cultural strategy for Warner Music Latin America and Spain.

Spotify has seen many of its executives leave for new posts in recent months, both from the programming and genre side like Guerrero and from the business and finance side. Those exits include former chief marketing officer Seth Farbman and former global head of artist and label marketing Dave Rocco.
