Spotify to offer education, live podcast show at BBC Music event

Spotify will be participating in the second annual live event from BBC Music Introducing. The audio streaming service has teamed with the BBC branch to present a series of live podcasts and masterclasses at the event, scheduled for November 8-10 in London. Spotify’s podcast Killing It, which features discussions of entrepreneurs overcoming mental health challenges, will record an episode live at the event. DJ Semtex, host of the Who We Be TALKS show, will host a discussion on UK street culture. The masterclasses will cover how performers can use Spotify to increase their visibility.

“Having begun my career as an artist, I know and appreciate the value in learning the skills and hearing the stories first hand from those that have deep-rooted experience in the world of music – and lived to tell the tale,” said Bryan Johnson, lead of artist and label marketing UK for Spotify. “The sessions we’ve put together – such as the artist masterclasses – are designed to pass on a broad spectrum of knowledge and wisdom that we truly hope will inspire the next generation.”
