Spotify appears to be testing out a new driving mode, designed for listeners who are behind the wheel. A few of the people with access to the feature posted about their experience on Reddit. The mode has larger buttons, announces songs, and will implement voice controls (that are not yet active). The company has not commented on this feature yet or shared the likelihood of it becoming a permanent part of the Spotify app.

Several streaming platforms and music specialists have explored the idea of special modes for car usage. From music platforms like Amazon and iHeartRadio to B2B providers such as Nobex Partners, delivering safe listening in vehicles has become a niche of interest.
