RAIN to Produce Inaugural RAIN Summit Canada, Presented by TargetSpot

New International Expansion by the Leading Knowledge and Networking Organization for Online Audio

Chicago, IL – September 12, 2018 – With streaming audio revolutionizing the music industry, podcasting showing steady growth of audience and revenue, and digital delivery platforms proliferating, RAIN (Radio, Audio, Internet News) announces the inaugural RAIN Summit Canada. The half-day event takes place October 10, 2018 at the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. Tickets and information are available at RAIN News.

As the leading knowledge and networking organization for the online audio industry, the expansion of the RAIN Summits program into Canada adds to existing events in New York, Chicago, and London, as well as an ongoing conference partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).

The morning-plus-networking event brings a dynamic program of discussion panels, thought-leader presentations, and new research. Streaming audio, podcasting, and digital audio advertising are the keystone topics of the Toronto event, and will be presented to an audience comprised of agency ad buyers, broadcast radio executives, streaming audio publishers, digital technology firms, and leaders of podcast companies.

In a feature presentation, Erik Portier of Radionomy Group / TargetSpot will contribute a wide-ranging talk titled “If you don’t have a digital audio strategy, you don’t have a future strategy,” a comprehensive survey of digital tactics and technologies, including case studies.

New research will also highlight the event, as Jeff Vidler of Audience Insights Inc. and Jeff Ulster of The Podcast Exchange will deliver the second edition of The Canadian Podcast Listener, a landscape study of how Canadians consume on-demand audio.

“Canada has a vibrant broadcast/streaming ecosystem and an enthusiastic podcast audience,” observed RAIN President Brad Hill. “We are thrilled to bring RAIN’s first Canadian conference to Toronto at the beautiful, state-of-the-art Glenn Gould Studio. Our goal is to give each attendee new knowledge, an illuminated view of online audio’s future, and a productive gathering of top industry professionals.”

RAIN Summit Canada is presented by TargetSpot, the global digital audio advertising company, and is produced in affiliation with The Podcast Exchange (TPX), a content monetization firm for the Canadian podcast industry.

The RAIN Summit conference series has for 16 years illuminated and advocated webcasting, streaming radio, music services, online delivery, and personalized listening. RAIN was founded by Kurt Hanson, Founder and CEO of AccuRadio.
