Radioplayer Germany gets standalone Apple Watch app

Radioplayer Germany is rolling out a standalong app for the Apple Watch. The software, compatible with the Series 4 and Series 5 version of the wearable, will let listeners tune in to Radioplayer without their phones. The app offers the usual Radioplayer features and has track information and volume control designed for the Watch’s operating system. It can also have activated eSIM that lets them make calls, send messages, and listen to music through Bluetooth headphones.

The update for Radioplayer Germany follows a similar one from Pandora. Smart watches are a smaller category than smartphones, but the option to go phone-free with the wearable has been a feature of growing popularity.
