Podtrac released its January data for the top podcast publishers. The ranking only covers publishers that are Podtrac clients using its measurement systems. The list usually shows little change in the order from month to month, and the beginning of 2017 is no exception. The only update from the December results is a swap between TWiT and American Public Media at No. 9 and No. 10.
The other notable data points from the January update are that several shows posted declines in the U.S. unique monthly audience size. However, all but two of the top 10 saw an increase in total U.S. and Global downloads. Overall, total global unique streams and downloads rose 4% for January.
How about the top 20 podcasts that aren’t affiliated with public radio.?
