Podfund announces three new investments in podcast studios and networks

Podfund, the venture capital podcast incubator launched by RadioPublic this spring, announced three new additions to its portfolio. The new investments are for DIVE Studios, Osiris Podcasts, and Domino Sound.

DIVE Studios is an English language podcast network covering K-pop music and Asian culture. It has two shows and plans to launch three more this year. Osiris Podcasts is helmed by Tom Marshall, lead songwriter for Phish, and R.J. Bee, a superfan of the band. Shows in their network cover a variety of topics about music and culture. Domino Sound was launched by former Stitcher exec Alexandra DiPalma and Kenya Anderson. The goal of the studio is to increase diversity and inclusion in podcasting in its productions, which include original shows and branded podcasts.

Podfund General Manager Nicola Korzenko noted that the organization has been seeing applications come from more than just individual podcasts. Studios and networks have been seeking support from Podfund, with a range of approaches to audio creation. “We’re bullish on this next generation of specialized audio-first media companies,” Korzenko wrote.
