Overheard at National Geographic: National Geographic, long known for its print magazine work, is launching its first project in podcasts. Its inaugural program is a short-form show called Overheard at National Geographic. Photo editor Vaughn Wallace will share behind-the-scenes stories as well as educational information about the natural world. The first episode centers on humpback whales and features marine photographer Brian Skerry and whale researcher Ellen Garland as guests. The show’s 8-episode season is available on Apple Podcasts.

Man In The Window: After the successful Dirty John, Wondery has reunited with the LA Times for a new true crime show called Man In The Window. Investigative reporter Paige St. John leads the exploration of new details about the Joseph James DeAngelo, also known as the recently arrested Golden State Killer. It begins June 11 and is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

New shows at Forever Dog: Humor has long been a popular podcast topic, and comedy podcast network Forever Dog has introduced 11 new shows. Some of the programs began this spring, and the rest will premiere in June and July across major podcast platforms. Variety has the whole rundown, but the highlights include Sloppy Seconds from rapper/comedian Big Dipper and drag star Meatball, The Underculture from actor and impressionist James Adomian, and The Goodie Goodie with actress Sabrina Jalees.
