Pandora releases its holiday playlists and free-Premium deal

Pandora has released a slew of holiday 2018 playlists, representing an imaginative, sometimes amusing sweep of holiday joy and stress. “Turn on the charm under the mistletoe” is a chill list. “When your in-laws insist on you spending the night when you live 20 minutes away” is filled with punk rock bangers.

There is a workout list keyed to relieving holiday food glut. A playlist for staying up all night wrapping presents. Holiday travel is emphasized with a fear-of-flying playlist and “Help you find zen when your baggage is lost.”

Also in today’s announcement is a deal with Google’s Android store. On December 1 (one day only), new users of the Pandora app get a month of free Pandora Premium, the fully on-demand music service.
