Pandora makes top 40 programming hire

Pandora has hired a new member of its programming team. Akim Bryant joins the audio company in the role of top 40 coordinator, curation programming. He will be based in Pandora’s New York office and will work closely with Tiana Lewis, the company’s head of pop programming, and the curation teams for pop, R&B, and hip-hop.

Bryant joins Pandora from BET Soul, where he spent two years working on programming. His career began at Music Choice and he has also written pieces for The Source Magazine and SoulMusic.com.

Pandora recently opened up its Podcast Genome Project to all listeners. Other programming updates include the release of its holiday playlists.
