Pandora launches Sounds like Pride campaign

Pandora has announced a special campaign in honor of Pride month, with a station recognizing the many contributions of the LGTBQ+ community to music. The Sounds like Pride station highlights those performers. Many performers have also used Pandora’s Artist Audio Messages to contribute statements calling for tolerance, human rights, and inclusion.

In addition to the new station, Pandora released a video series of its LGTBQ+ employees discussing what Pride sounds like to them. The audio company is also working with The Ally Coalition, a nonprofit aimed at mobilizing creative communities to take action against homophobia and transphobia.

“A celebration of Pride is a celebration of individuality, love, self assurance and humanity without fear of persecution,” the company blog post reads. “At Pandora, we believe that every person deserves the right to love and to live a purposeful life.”
