Pandora brings podcasts to its web and desktop versions

Pandora has expanded access to podcasts on its platform. Podcasts on Pandora is now available to all users on its web version and its desktop apps. The podcast platform includes tailored recommendations from the Podcast Genome Project, based on the algorithms that drive Pandora’s signature Music Genome Project. This wave of launches bring podcasts to more of Pandora’s audience after debuting on mobile apps. Pandora’s catalog has grown to number thousands of shows and includes more than 600,000 episodes. Podcast creators can submit their programs for availability on the streaming service through the Pandora for Podcasters hub that debuted in August.

Pandora has been focusing on building out its web presence this year, with the launch of a Mac app in May and a Windows app in September.
