“Origins” ultra-long-form podcast set to return, Cadence13 announces

Podcast publisher Cadence13 announces that Origins, a long-form (seriously, LONG form) podcast hosted by author and journalist James Andrew Miller is set for a second slate of three chapters. If that seems short for a season, you need to know that a “chapter” typically contains six episodes, each longer than an hour.

The show documents how ideas become realities and businesses. The chapter on ESPN came in at 540 minutes, a flat six hours. Larry David and Curb Your Enthusiasm comprised another season one chapter.

Set for the second stretch are chapters on Nick Saban and Alabama’s Crimson Tide football team, Saturday Night Live, and Sex and the City. Miller has written extensively about sports, and authored a seminal book about Saturday Night Live.

Cadence13 Chief Content Officer Chris Corcoran stated this: “Following the enthusiastic response to the first two chapters of Origins on Curb Your Enthusiasm and ESPN, we’re very excited to take this series to the next level with three strong and surprising new stories. Origins has been a perfect programming model for an audience that loves to learn and be entertained at the same time.”
