On the Move: Out at Spotify; in at INgrooves

On the Move tracks hires, promotions, and other notable personnel changes in the audio industry.


Spotify’s content officer exits: Spotify’s chief content officer has departed, trading music for video. Ken Parks, who was the first U.S. employee of the streaming service, is joining Pluto TV as the online video startup’s executive chairman. Parks will be replaced by Spotify’s chief strategy officer, Stefan Blom, and will continue to serve as an advisor to Daniel Ek.

New CEO for Isolation/INgrooves: Digital distributor INgrooves has been without a top leader since Robb McDaniels stepped down late last year. Now, parent company Isolation Network has announced that Bob Roback will be its new CEO. Most recently, Roback was president at Fender and before that was co-founder and CEO of Dashbox, a music licensing company.
