New research to highlight RAIN Summit West

In the fast-moving field of online audio, with audiences shifting from yesterday’s trends to tomorrow’s, research is essential. Three research reports will highlight RAIN Summit West on April 17, in Las Vegas.

larry rosin 100wLarry Rosin, President of Edison Research, will present new insights drawn from Edison’s mile-marking survey analyses of consumer listening behavior. The Infinite Dial and Share of Ear, both ongoing Edison projects, generate industry-standard knowledge points about how, where, and to what Americans listen to. Larry Rosin will present new insights that illuminate the present and shine light into the future.

ruth presslaff 100wRuth Presslaff, President of Presslaff Interactive Revenue, will unveil results of a new survey, Dialing In: How Do You Find the Data Signal? — examining how broadcasters and pureplay music services collect and use audience data to engage and retain listeners. (There is still time to participate in the 12-question survey, by the way. It is interesting.)

russ crupnick 100wRuss Crupnick, Managing Partner of MusicWatch, will arrive in Las Vegas with metrics and analysis of how new audio enterprises both disrupt and evolve the industry. (That theme will be given example-driven treatment in a panel discussion earlier in the day: The New Wave(form), featuring music discovery startup founders hosted by consultant Karen Allen.)

RAIN Summit West is all-day conference co-located with the NAB Show, making it easy to fit one into travel plans for the other. The keynote speaker is Ginny Morris, Chair and CEO of Hubbard Radio, who will give a talk followed by a discussion session moderated by Paul Jacobs of Jacobs Media.

Other features at RAIN Summit West include a deep dive into new legal realities affecting both radio and webcasting; an interview with radio prodigy Zach Sang; an expert discussion on the pivot point for podcasting; digital opportunities for radio — and much more.
