New Panoply hire shows commitment to scripted podcasts

Panoply Media has hired John Dryden, who will serve as the head of scripted programming for the podcast network. In this capacity, Dryden will develop and produce scripted shows, both comedy and drama, for Panoply.

The hire marks a new division for Panoply, but it won’t be its first foray into scripted shows. Its programs The Message and LifeAfter are both scripted. Dryden was an executive producer and director for LifeAfter, as well as the creator of BBC podcast Tumanbay and a past Peabody Award recipient.
