Neil Young Archive officially launches with full entertainment subscription

The Neil Young Archive first debuted about a year ago, offering his fans a chance to access his music catalog at a high audio quality. While the site was free for the beta period, the site is now formally launching as a subscription service and app. Access to the archive will cost $1.99 a month or $19.99 for a full year. The platform has movies, videos, books, photographs, manuscripts, and press notes to accompany the music.

“If you want to hear my music and would like to have the option to listen to it with all the depth and glory of high resolution, it will be there,” Young said. “All my new records can be heard there first, before they get released anywhere else. New, unreleased albums from the archives and old, unreleased albums from the archives will always be heard there first. Our machine is a monster.”

The archives will have a free version with access to the timeline and a featured album and song of the day. The music is powered by Xstream technology for delivering the strong audio quality.
