Milk Music closing in Australia after just one year

Music milk logo canvasSamsung is ending its Milk Music service in Australia on April 28. The streaming platform launched in the country last February. Samsung is reportedly offering Milk customers three free months of access to Google Play Music subscriptions as a consolation.

The Milk property has had a rocky road, first with legal issues in its home market of South Korea, and later with rumors of a total shutdown. Samsung hasn’t given any indication of whether the Australian closure is a sign of things to come. The Milk Video sister unit was shuttered in September, but otherwise Samsung’s music activity has been quiet of late.
