Mighty Audio secured Kickstarter success back in 2016, and now the pint-sized portable for music streaming has announced a new expansion. The device echoes the old iPod Shuffle, and it offers listeners Spotify Premium playlist streaming on-the-go without a phone and without an Internet connection. Several years after its Kickstarter debut and launch, Mighty Audio has added support for Amazon Music.
It’s a niche product, clearly targeting athletes and outdoorsy types as its main market. The choice to add Amazon Music as its second supported music platform is intriguing. Amazon has been expanding its footprint thanks to interest in the Echo smart speaker line, and adding other third-party hardware options could bring more ears into the fold.
