Merlin to move its headquarters to Dublin

Merlin, the independent label organization, is relocating its headquarters. The group, which has been centered in Amsterdam, is moving to Dublin in a corporate restructuring. According to the Merlin, this change will simplify operations. A spokesperson said that with the restructuring, Merlin will “apply a small margin” to its future earnings that will be used to support the group’s digital growth.

“This will not impact the way Merlin works with its members or its music service partners as the current corporate structure will be substantially replicated in the newly incorporated Merlin companies,” a representative said.

In its latest annual report, Merlin announced that it has cumulatively distributed more than $2 billion. CEO Charles Caldas is also planning to step down from the helm of the company at the end of the year.
