Maria Shriver enters podcasting as host of new Cadence13 show

Cadence13 has added a new celeb-driven conversational podcast to its steadily expanding portfolio. Maria Shriver will host an interview podcast called Meaningful Conversations.

The podcast is an extension of Shriver’s successful book, I’ve Been Thinking…Reflections, Prayers and Meditations for a Meaningful Life, which spent time as #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. “Shriver will use her podcast to explore issues and ideas that she believes we’re all thinking about, but not discussing nearly enough,” according to today’s announcement.

Here is what Shriver says: “My goal with ‘Meaningful Conversations’ is to have smart, spirited and spiritual discussions about the issues affecting us all. I am thrilled to be part of the Cadence13 family and want to inspire listeners to reflect on their own lives and have more meaningful conversations with the people they love.”

Guests lined up so far include spiritual teachers and bestselling authors Marianne Williamson and Don Miguel Ruiz; self-development expert, success coach and bestselling author Jen Sincero; and author, entrepreneur and “biohacker” Dave Asprey.

Maria Shriver is a good catch for Cadence13, which has built a roster of known personalities flying into podcasting on the company’s wing. Shriver is the mother of four, a Peabody- and Emmy-award-winning journalist and producer, a seven-time New York Times bestselling author, an NBC News Special Anchor, the founder of the nonprofit The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, and the creator of the popular weekly email newsletter “Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper.”
