LaMusica adds video to bilingual music app

lamusic-app-canvasSpanish-language specialist SBS has added video to its streaming app LaMusica. The bilingual and bicultural app, which previously focused only on music, has now added short video vignettes to its content offerings. The clips are about 30-90 seconds long, and share music news or celebrity gossip or artist profiles.

“Short-form, vertical video adoption has been growing exponentially, and we are eager to bring this experience to LaMusica,” said Jesus Lara, SBS executive vice president of digital media. “The response to the app has been terrific and we are excited to introduce the new programming slate, which continues to reflect the deep-rooted relationship Latinos have with music and pop culture.”

Several music properties have been exploring the addition of video, including industry leaders such as Spotify and Apple Music.
