Ireland gets digital audio ad exchange from AdsWizz, Communicorp deal

AdsWizz has teamed with Communicorp Media for a new digital audio advertising exchange in Ireland. The audioXi service launches with 20 million monthly impressions from more than 20 independent publishers. Rob Timony will head the exchange, which will have a dedicated team for creative, sales, and ad operations within Communicorp Media’s headquarters. AdsWizz will provide targeting technology that helps advertisers reach audiences of a particular age, gender, or other segmentation.

“This is a huge development for our business, and for the Irish Audio market. Digital audio is being created, shared and listened to by over 1 million people every week in Ireland. audioXi offers an audience-led, programmatic opportunity to reach 20 million digital impressions per month.

Aer Lingus has signed on as a launch partner for the exchange. “Aer Lingus is very excited to be the official test partner of audioXi,” said Derek Liddy, head of digital marketing for the airline. “Programmatic audio is a growing digital channel offering us new capabilities to promote Aer Lingus services to Irish and international customers.”
