iHeartRadio launches two celeb-driven podcasts

TV personality and book author Chelsea Handler announced that she is hosting a new podcast, Life Will Be the Death of Me, on the iHeartPodcast Network. (Go HERE for the preview.) The title is taken from Handler’s latest memoir, which has placed #1 on the NY Times bestseller list. She will interview “her inner circle of friends,” and in an interesting twist the show will be recorded live in her upcoming book tour. A 20-episode season is planned, with the premiere dropping on may 23, and new shows sliding in every week.

Life Will Be the Death of Me chronicles a major turning point in my life, when I got honest with myself and finally addressed the pain I felt after losing my brother,” Handler said. “The conversations you’ll hear will explore the same themes as the book, and to get real about pain, grief, recovery, and taking back control of your life.”

iHeartMedia also announced a different iHeartRadio Original podcast called Sleepwalkers. This one is described as “the effect of AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology on all aspects of human life–– from dating to health, creativity, deflecting potential terrorists and more.” Co-hosts are Oz Woloshyn (Emmy and Peabody Award winner) and Karah Preiss, former host of Talk Nerdy To Me and co-founder of Belletrist, a social media community for book lovers.

Guests on Sleepwalkers will include top technology executives, politicians and authors who will unpack the advantages, challenges and surprises associated with today’s AI revolution.”
