HD radio adoption growing in Mexico

Mexico flagRadio World reviewed the current state of HD radio adoption in Mexico. According to iBiquity Digital, more than 40 stations in the country now use the technology, and 13 stations in the capital deliver 24 additional HD2/HD3 channels. The Instituto Mexicano de la Radio, one of the country’s public broadcasters, has upgraded all 13 of its FM bands to include the digital technology.

There are about 200,000 vehicles equipped with HD radio on the roads in Mexico. There are 14 car makers with HD radio receivers sold in more than 45 auto models sold in the country. Several of the main aftermarket and home receiver companies have products available to Mexican consumers.
