Google introduces Family Library for shared entertainment purposes

Google Play Music new canvasGoogle Play is rolling out a new feature for expanded sharing across multiple people. The Family Library supports up to six individuals sharing a single account. All members will have access to every app, game, movie, TV show, and book added to the joint collection. No additional fee is required to use the Family Library, but there needs to be a credit card saved to the account. The primary card holder will get an email receipt for each transaction, and may need to give approval when an underage relative wants to make a purchase.

The tech giant introduced a family plan for its joint Google Play Music and YouTube Red service in December. The expanded Family Library for purchases in the Play store will launch this month in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, the US and the UK.
