Cisneros Interactive signs exclusive ad-rep deal with Spotify in Latin America

Global streaming music leader Spotify has selected Cisneros Interactive to exclusively manage the advertising service portfolio of Spotify in Latin America, one of Spotify’s most important and fast-growing markets. The agreement spans across 12 countries: Puerto Rico, Uruguay,
Paraguay, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Panama.

RAIN readers might be more familiar with the names Redmas and Audio.ad, both Cisneros units. Redmas is a digital advertising solutions provider, and Audio.ad builds digital audio advertising tech platforms and solution. Presumably Cisneros will deploy all of its in-house technology and sales connections in servicing this partnership.

“The extensive experience of the Cisneros Group’s digital business unit – Cisneros Interactive – will serve as Spotify’s gateway to much of the
Latin American market through the leadership of a team of trained professionals who will offer local advertisers the best advertising strategies in display, video and digital audio,” according to today’s press release.

Carlos Cordoba, Head of Audio Advertising at Cisneros Interactive and a familiar presence at RAIN Summits, released this statement: “This alliance will allow us to expand our portfolio in a much more strategic way. Audio spots offer a unique and personalized connection with listeners and partnering with Spotify is key to increasing the reach of any brand in the current context where the audience seeks to consume content tailored to their interests.”

Cisneros has been a leader in this field for 10 years, operating with a dual focus on Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic listening market. Research released last year by Audio.ad describes the characteristics of that U.S. market.
