Apple Music and Drake have been very cozy of late. The streaming service funded Drake’s viral “Hotline Bling” music video, will have his upcoming album as an exclusive, and had him help introduce the new music platform. Now, Apple Music is a sponsor for Drake’s upcoming Summer Sixteen tour with fellow rapper Future.
Apple hasn’t said anything about what this sponsorship might entail, and it appears to be the first time it has put its name on a tour before. It has past concert experience with the iTunes Music Festival, which was rebranded as the Apple Music Festival, but that’s a different beast than a multi-city tour.
