Apple hires WMG exec for role in strategic music initiatives

Apple has hired Jeff Bronikowski as its new global head of strategic music intiatives. He joins from Warner Music Group, where he was SVP of global business development and head of new technology and innovation. His resume also includes time with HBO, Universal Music Group, and Echo Nest. Bronikowski will bring that experience to Apple Music, where he’ll be playing a part in cultivating new directions for the streaming service.

“Super excited to start my new role at Apple today,” he said in a post on LinkedIn. “I’m looking forward to working with Apple Music’s amazing team of old friends as well as the new ones to be made.”
