Another massive result for Apple’s fourth quarter

Apple has reported its financial results for its fiscal fourth quarter ending September 30. Quarterly revenue for the tech giant was $52.6 billion, up 12% year-on-year. Earnings for the period also rose 24% to $2.07 per diluted share. “We’re happy to report a very strong finish to a great fiscal 2017, with record fourth quarter revenue, year-over-year growth for all our product categories, and our best quarter ever for Services,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said.

Services revenue for the quarter totaled $8.5 billion. This division includes digital content sales such as Apple Music. The company has not usually broken out specifics for its streaming music platform during its earnings reports, but it did announce reaching the 30 million subscriber milestone in September.
