Android Auto adds Deezer to the roster

deezer button canvasDeezer continued its expansion onto the road with the announcement of integration with Android Auto. The partnership will bring access to the usual features of a Deezer account behind the wheel. Most relevant perhaps for drivers, that includes Flow, which is designed to be single-click radio that’s customized to that particular listener. It also brings Mixes (the mood- and preference-based recommendations) to the party along with all of a user’s saved playlists, favorites, and albums. The Android Auto version will also have voice search for playlists.

Deezer will be rolling out to Android Auto for drivers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the UK, and the U.S. According to the press release, a Premium+ or Elite subscription will be required to access the car service. Deezer is also available on Apple CarPlay and has made a direct deal with BMW.
