AdsWizz’ ShakeMe ad tech will air on UK radio with talkSPORT

AdsWizz announced that radio sports station talkSPORT will leverage its ShakeMe technology for a new campaign in the UK. ShakeMe is an interactive audio ad format that helps listeners take an automatic action on their smartphone in response to the spot. With these ads, a listener can shake their phone to immediately download an app, open a website, or place a call without needing to look at or unlock their device. The first campaign with ShakeMe shared its results in December.

TalkSPORT, owned by the Wireless Group, will run ads for peer-to-peer betting exchange Smarkets using the AdsWizz technology. For this campaign, listeners will be prompted to shake their phones to download the Smarkets app.

“We’re thrilled that talkSPORT is leveraging our ShakeMe technology to provide a more engaging and interactive experience for listeners, and create more effective and innovative opportunities for their advertisers,” AdsWizz CEO Alexis van de Wyer said. “As we see audio advertising adoption explode in major markets all over the world, we are committed to accelerating our innovation with new and engaging audio experiences.”

“We’re delighted to have teamed up with AdsWizz,” said David Wilcox, national sales director for Wireless Group. “Their innovative ShakeMe™ product is the next generation in audio advertising and means that talkSPORT can help advertisers to reach their key audiences in more engaging and immersive ways, including using behavioural data like mood or geo-targeting.”
