AdsWizz launches advertiser accreditation program for certified digital audio expertise

AdsWizz has unveiled a new program for certifying advertisers’ expertise in digital audio. Called the AdsWizz Digital Audio Expert Program, it is meant to define a standard for “digital audio expert.” The thrust is for agencies and trading desks to demonstrably own a mastery of the growing array of digital audio advertising opportunities.

The announcement is times with certification of OMG Programmatic (OMGP), a division of the Omnicom Media Group, which has earned Digital Audio Ad Expert certification. OMG Programmatic has run hundreds of programmatic campaigns on the AdsWizz demand-side platform — completion of successful campaigns is one stated criterion for certifications. Other criteria exist as well, unspecified in today’s announcement.

AdsWizz and OMGP enjoy a partnership that has garnered attention before this. In May of 2018, AdsWizz took the Best Technology for Programmatic Trading award at the DRUM Digital Trading Awards — in a nominated field of mostly non-audio platforms. AdsWizz and OMGP were “highly Commended” in that awards bestowal. OMGP won a Best Use of Creative award for a Virgin Atlantic at the DRUM event.

That covers the buy side of digital audio advertising — AdsWizz also promises an audio publisher certification program later this year.

“We have become an audio-first society, and it’s changing the game for publishers and advertisers,” AdsWizz CEO Alexis van de Wyer said. “As a pioneer in this industry, we’re committed to helping publishers and brands alike master new skills and discover new opportunities in audio.”
